We build a safer air ambulance
Aurenda is an air ambulance aircraft manufacturer. We engineer emergency medical helicopters from a clean sheet so the operators who fly them can save more lives, more safely, at lower cost.
Rethinking the aircraft, not the paperwork
For four decades the air ambulance has been a general-purpose helicopter with a stretcher fitted inside. The safety risks, the cost and the access limits are all consequences of that starting point, and no amount of good operating can fully solve them.
Aurenda starts from a different question: what aircraft does the emergency medical mission actually need? The answer is the Avectra 101, a hybrid gyroplane-helicopter in which safer flight, lower cost and lower emissions all move in the same direction.
Lower cost. Safer flight. Better outcomes. We build the aircraft; the operators we supply deliver the care.

A manufacturer, end to end
We design the airframe
The Avectra 101 is engineered specifically for the aeromedical mission, with safety and efficiency built into its aerodynamics.
We build in the technology
The critical-care cabin and telemedicine-ready systems are part of the aircraft, not an afterthought fitted later.
We support the fleet
From manufacture through continued airworthiness, spares, maintenance and training across a decades-long service life.
Safety as an engineering property
We do not treat safety, cost and sustainability as trade-offs to balance. The Avectra 101 was conceived so that improving one improves the others: fewer moving parts mean lower cost and higher reliability, and a gliding failure mode means safety and access to harder sites.
- Purpose-built, engineered for the aeromedical mission from the first line.
- Safety by design, not dependent on perfect conditions or technique.
- Accessible, low operating cost widens who can be reached.
- Sustainable, lower fuel burn as a standard, not an option.

British engineering behind every aircraft
Aurenda is a division of Fixius Holdings, a British aviation group building an ecosystem of sustainable aircraft and next-generation rotorcraft. That heritage gives Aurenda deep engineering capability and a manufacturing pathway for the Avectra 101.
